We the undersigned Members of the Devonport School Cadet Corps, desire to express our gratitude for the time and trouble so patiently expended by you in the instruction and drill of the Corps since its formation. Although we are proud to think that, on various occasions, our Corps has won its share of distinction, we fear that our efforts have sometimes fallen short of your hopes and expectations. We earnestly trust, however, that our future lives and conduct will show a gratifying result of the mental and physical discipline experienced under your kindly supervision.
