WHERE THE HOUSING PROBLEM IS SPEEDILY RESOLVED
Grass houses are not the least commodious of the Hausa habitations.
A little skill and a minimum of time are required in their construction,
for in a couple of hours two men can cut the grass, fix the framework,
and complete the house

TWO HOURS AFTER BEGINNING THE HOUSE IS FINISHED
Though so hastily erected, these grass mansions of Nigeria are stable
enough in the dry season, but when the rain descends and the wind blows
they are seldom able to withstand the fury of the hostile elements.
They afford accommodation of a primitive kind, yet satisfactory to
the Hausas
