The gypsies are believed to have come over to Europe early in the Middle Ages, and their appearance and the structure of their language would prove them to be ubdoubtedly of East Indian origin. Like all their kinsfolk, the Hungarian gypsies seem to have a horror of a sedentary life, and are ever on the move.
